My Matchbox Madness!

A couple of days ago I signed up for Linda's swap on her lovely blog A Swap For All Seasons.  She had a couple people drop out and had 5 openings so I jumped on it.  I have had so much fun with these things.  I never knew matchboxes could be that cute.  I always appreciated the pull out drawer in such a tiny little package but never imagined the decorations.  I have completely taken over the kitchen table in stuff to decorate these little treasures.
I have pulled out all of my scrap booking Christmas items.

And stickers.

And small printed paper.

Here is what I ended up with so far...

I have worked on 14 of the 25 I am supposed to do.  I still need to number each one, tie a ribbon on top to hang the ornament, and put a little gift inside.

The one on the left is hubbies favorite and the one on the right is mine.  I am in love with the drawer!

The gifts don't have to be expensive or extravagant.  I LOVE that!  This little necklace was in a package in my craft room just waiting to be gifted in this little box.

Well, I am off to finish this fun little task.

Have a Merry Christmas!!!

oh wow, they look so lovely. You are so gifted. I didn't join in as I wasn't sure I could pull it off. Also wasn't sure if I could join in, living on the other side of the pond. Hope you get some lovely ones back in the swap. Please upload more photos when you are done with all of them.

Hi Mandie

Thank you for those lovely comments. I didn't know that you don't get advent candles in the States. It has 1 to 24 written on it & the idea is that you burn one number each night from December first until Christmas eve. Would you like me to send one to you for this Christmas? If so you can e-mail me on christmasbelieve@yahoo.co.uk
