Downtown Stroll

On a downtown stroll a couple of weeks ago I came upon one of my favorite stores.  It is a Christian bookstore that has one whole side dedicated to Christmas!  In their front window are the sweetest carolers.

I go there every chance I get.  The inside is filled with Christmas dishes, ornaments, decorations of every kind and it always smells so Christmasy!

Let us keep Christmas,
holding it close to our hearts...
for its meaning never ends
and its spirit is the warmth and joy
of remembering friends...
Merry Christmas
and
Every happiness in the New Year

Today I will leave you with a yummy eggnog pancake recipe!

Eggnog Pancakes

2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups eggnog*
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg if desired. In another bowl, beat eggs, eggnog and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top; cook until second side is golden brown.

Looks like a wonderful store to visit. I just love the Carolers.

The eggnog pancakes sound so good. I will have to try them. Everyone laughs at me cause I like eggnog all year not just at Christmas time. I have a great recipe for a pear eggnog jello salad that is the prettiest yellow and so pretty for Easter.

Thank you for following my nbew blog.
