I truly love the look of decorating with nature.

Growing up our Christmas trees were always real. We usually bought them in a Christmas tree lot. I LOVED tree shopping. There is nothing like the sight of beautiful trees of all kinds sitting on display. The smell would go straight to my head and make me all giddy inside. To this day the smell of a pine tree makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I remember one year my mom and I went Christmas tree shopping with friends in the mountains. Oh what fun that was! We actually sat in a wagon and rode it up a winding road to a field of beautiful trees of every shape and size.

Last year we bought a little Christmas tree and planted it by our chicken coop. Chickens need a little Christmas in their hearts too.

I wish I had a backyard full of different conifers!

I would cut the lower branches and put them all over the house.

Even in our bedroom. Isn't that beautiful!!

A little bit here and a little bit there.

This is my favorite!

Love visiting this blog of yours, gets me in the mood for Christmas. I always shop throughout the year. I love this photos! Now all I need is snow! LOL

These images are so beautiful-I love them all!
The only bad thing about living here in Australia is that we have really hot Christmases and so a live tree doesn't last very long at all. I like the idea of getting a few small ones, though, and placing them around the house as was done in one of those images. Thanks for the ideas.
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Me again Mandie!
I have just added your blog to my blog roll...you know what? All this time I thought it was there! I love you gorgeous Christmas blog!!!
Best wishes always,
Natasha.
Mandie,
That black hutch with the wreath from Country Living is one of my all time favorites! I love the simplicity. We didn't grow up with a live tree, we were gone over the holidays. I love the idea of going to the lot and finding the perfect tree... now I am in FL and they just don't last that long and I like to put my tree up in early November! Thanks for the inspiration, LOVE your blog!
Best wishes,
Tammy

Mandie,
Hello!!
What great photos!! I don't ever remember having a real tree! I was 4 y/o when my Dad built our new home and my mom said that she had had it with pine needles all over her rug so she bought an artificial tree and we NEVER had a real one in that house! LOL!
Mine are all artificial , of course, with so many sizes and shapes of them!!
But I always have Pine spray handy!
Debbie
