Love for Christmas

I have got to be better at posting!  I assure you that my absence in no way reflects my love for Christmas.  Just last Thursday I spent the day with a Christmas marathon of movies.  First I popped in Fred Clause then Prancer then Frosty the Snowman (yes, it is a cartoon...) and finished it off with Elf.  It was the most productive cleaning day I have had to date :)  My kids don't even roll their eyes anymore.  They just come in and say, "Elf huh".

My sister-in-law Melissa, sent me Christmas CD's for my Birthday in February.  I have one in the car, one in the CD player in the living room, and one in our bathroom.  The feeling I get while listening to them is amazing.  Being surrounded by Christmas in so many ways just makes me happy.  And why on earth would I not want to be happy?!  It is what ever floats your boat and for me... it is a Christmas boat.  One with lights, painted red, and a Christmas tree at the stern.  Okay, now I am getting silly :)

Do you have something that makes you smile?  Something that you know will brighten your day?  For some it may be a relaxing bath at the end of a hard days work or a massage at one of those fancy places.  Maybe even a pedicure... Oh but for me it is Christmas.  The smell of a pine tree, the twinkling of lights on a Christmas tree, the smell of cinnamon, or the melody of a Christmas tune... Ahhhh, I am so happy :)

Thank you for coming by Whispering Christmas Dreams!

Happy Birthday!!  As Frosty would say, or Merry Christmas!

I happened to be home by myself on Mother's Day (that's what happens when family members work retail!) so I popped in "The Family Stone" for some Christmas cheer. I listen to Christmas music all year around too!

I haven't seen it in years. oh... and the Bishop's wife with Cary Grant and L. Young. And Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and... Okay, I can tell, you and I would have fun together watching Christmas movies in May!

I wish we could be neighbours! Sometimes my husband will come home from work and hear Christmas music coming from my computer -- he just looks at me and says, "Tough day?" because he knows the sounds of Christmas are always a mood lifter.

That is perfect how you surround yourself with Christmas which brings you joy. I feel joyful in church and in our garden and I love putting out our collection of wooden nutcrackers and our old ornaments for the tree. I love that I'm not the only one who still enjoys listening to Christmas music....whenever...last week, a couple of times, I just listened to the Christmas music on my blog while I was getting ready for the day! Turned the speakers up and I loved it! It just makes me feel good! In today's world where most news is bad news, any little thing that lifts your spirits higher, I'm all for!! Next time I put in a Christmas dvd, I'll think of you! Have a great week Mandie!

I wonder if are related?! Cause I do the exact same thing all the time.I needed to work at home the other day and a marathon of all 3 Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen kept me sat on the dining table. Also I listen to Christmas music all year long :)

Glad to hear that you are having a nice week,

So glad to hear I'm not the only one who loves Christmas movies and music year round! I think the season's way too short so why not enjoy it all the time. There is just something about Christmas movies or music that makes me be more productive at what I am doing at that moment!
Think I need to listen to some Christmas music now! Thanks for sharing!
Have a great day!

Hello Mandie!

Thanks for the reminder to watch 'Elf' again. I think that movie could be one of my favourite movies...ever! I could watch it any time of year.

Thanks for popping by before and for your sweet comment. I am so happy to be blogging again but I will definitely be slowing down a lot!

Take care and best wishes always,
Natasha.

I've been checking all of blogger blogs I follow and I've been missing my followers on my sidebar and apparently everyone else on blogger is too! Don't know what's up with that, but I hope it gets fixed soon! The title is still there, but none of the followers are showing up! :(
