A visit from Santa

As a follow up from last post...

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.  In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there...

I am still searching for the right place for our stockings.  And when I find the perfect place Santa will be on his way!  We will leave him cookies and milk on the table.  Beside his midnight snack will be a note from our children.  In that note will be words of thanksgiving for everything Santa has given them in the past and well wishes for his long night ahead.  This has been a tradition for as long as we have had children.  And when Santa leaves he will leave a note as well.  His note will let the children know he is proud of them.  He will encourage them to get along with each other and be good to their friends.  He will tell the children to love and honor their parents. And to finish his words of encouragement he will preach that Jesus is the real reason for the season.  He mentions how he prayed before his journey that he would be safe and that every child in the whole world will know Jesus' love.  He then signs his letters with hugs and kisses.

This post is part of the Swap For All Seasons Santa Clause Blog-Along Giveaway.  Santa is making his rounds so feel free to visit A Swap For All Seasons to see where else he has been this October!

These paintings are classics and warm and cheery, and how nice that your children leave Santa a note, and he leaves one in return.
Today I posted The Legend of the Christmas Spider on my blog, as the holidays approach soon.
